New Photos

Look at how I have grown!
Addie's shoes on her baptism day - they were a gift from her godfather, Taylor.
Now if those baby blues don't pick up some cute girls, I don't know what will!
Addie with Great Grannie Frannie - what joy in Frannie's eyes!
Just some recent pics. Thank you Auntie Becky for taking all of them!

August News

Just realized it has been a month since I last posted anything! It has obviously been a busy one. I don't have pictures to post at this moment because I need to download them from the camera - once again! Anyway, Addie was baptized on July 26th - she wore the dress her Aunties Kara and Becky wore when they were baptized. She looked so cute! It was such a hot and humid day - just like our wedding day. Speaking of, we will be celebrating our 6 year anniversary on Aug. 16th. It is so hard to believe that it has been that long...however October will be 14 years since we met and we can't believe how far we have traveled together since then. We are looking forward to many more happy years with Addie and Caden by our sides.

Addie was sleeping through the night (9pm - 6am) but the past few nights she has been getting up so I have been a bit cranky. The good news is that both kids are back at daycare with Aunt Resa full time now so I can get ready to head back to work. Although I will be sad that summer is over, I do miss work and am looking forward to jumping into another year of teaching. This will be my 8th year at FCDS - that seems almost unbelievable, too! I am still teaching third grade. My classroom received a new ceiling, carpets, and windows, along with a Smartboard (interactive whiteboard for those of you that are technically challenged :-) I am excited about the Smartboard because it will change the whole way I teach and opens up lots of great learning opportunities for my students.

Caden is growing faster than the speed of light it seems. He is speaking full sentences. He can count to ten and is working on making his way to 20. He can almost sing his ABC's - he leaves out a few letters but should have that down in the next few weeks. He really just continues to amaze us each week. When I asked him what he dreamt about the other night, he told me "diggers." He loves anything with wheels on it, especially diggers and firetrucks (surprise, surprise). We spend plenty of time at the firehouse with daddy. He has really enjoyed any chance we have had to go swimming this summer. This past week, we went to a BBQ with our firehouse friends, and after being in the pool for what seemed like forever, Caden asked Jay if he could get out because he was cold. It took at least a half hour for his lips to fade to pink from the purple shade they had turned! I certainly remember doing the same thing when I was a kid.

No family vacation this summer, but we have enjoyed spending time with each other as much as we can. It has been hard adjusting to our newest addition, but as each week passes, it has become easier. And as we know from watching Caden, time flies by so fast so we need to enjoy every moment of it while we can.

Hope everyone is having a happy summer, too! Promise to post some pics soon!
