Happy Easter!

Our happy little girl! Not too often we can get all of us in a photo....of course, Addie's trademark is her thumb in her mouth...just like her mommy when she was a baby.
Some day we will get them both to look at the camera at the same time!

Our little model :-)

Fingers in our mouth...AGAIN!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter! We didn't do much...just went to church in the morning and then hung out at home doing yard work the rest of the day. We decided to not even cook a meal so we could enjoy the beautiful weather! So we ordered Chinese instead. It was a relaxing day. We got a start on our garden. Of course it is now rainy and cold but we are glad we had some warm sunshiney days and we hope many more are on their way. Looking forward to the summer months already.
Caden went peepee on the potty for the first time this week - FINALLY! Of course we haven't had much success since that first time, but at least it is a start. Luckily his new preschool (which he will begin in August) does not require him to be potty-trained. However, if he isn't by then, we might go nuts!
Addie is crawling all over the place and can now pull herself up to a standing position. She turned 11 months old this week. We are looking forward to celebrating her birthday next month. She is growing so fast!

Happy Spring!

Yeah, it's spring!!

This one is so cute that I can't even think of a caption to put :-)

Just chilling....

Rainy days aren't so bad with Caden around!

I'm pooped! Rainy days were made for sleeping.

Look at meeeeee!!!

Well hello there, camera!

Just wanted to share a few other cute pictures we have taken recently. Addie is crawling all over the place. Caden talks our ears off all the time. Mommy and Daddy are always exhausted from chasing them around, but we love every moment of it. We are trying to work on potty-training, but not having much luck. Caden received a ride-on John Deere tractor and we are a bit worried about his driving skills when he turns 16! He is a typical boy with no fear at all and will run over anything in his path. Addie is just as happy as her brother was when he was a baby. She is all smiles most of the time. We are totally enjoying both of them and know that we have been blessed to have them in our lives.

Happy Birthday Caden!!!

Addie enjoyed Caden's birthday, too...she tried to eat the wrapping paper.

Happy Birthday Caden! He loves his new toys!

Mommy and Daddy's attempt at making a train cake. Caden loved it!

Caden and Daddy in the middle of Times Square, NYC!

Our big guy on the choo-choo train.

waiting for the train to arrive to take us to NYC.
On March 19th we celebrated Caden's 3rd birthday. Addie spent the day with Grammy Pammy and Jason and I took Caden into NYC. We had a blast riding on the train. On the way home we even got to ride on a city bus because the train tracks were being repaired. When we arrived in NYC we went to Toys R Us. We rode on a huge ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Caden was scared at first but loved it by the end of the ride. We had lunch at Ellen's Stardust Diner where the wait staff sings tunes while you eat. Caden was serenaded with a Happy Birthday song by our waiter and some others. Caden was a real trooper and definitely exhausted by the end of the day. So were mom and dad!
The next day we had a small get-together with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jay and I made the choo-choo train cake above....not our best cake yet, but Caden enjoyed it. Everyone else chowed down on cupcakes. We can't believe how big our kiddos are. Addie will be one on May 15th. Check back soon for her birthday pics! Happy Spring! Happy Easter!
