In early May we celebrated my niece's First Holy Communion. It was a beautiful day for such a celebration. We have been lucky to spend more time than usual with our families lately, between this event and Addie's birthday. Life gets so busy sometimes, that we lose touch of what is really important in life and family certainly is important to us. After the church service, we had a BBQ back at Ger's house. As you can see from above, Addie dove into the veggie stick bowl and Grandpa Hubert didn't stop her :-) Caden loved jumping on the trampoline, which he was previously scared to do (those pics didn't come out so good or there would be one here!). And Jay enjoyed a basketball game with Ger and his friends...which tired him out and made him realize that he is getting old :-) but we still love him anyway!
The most touching moment of the day is when I picked up the bulletin at church for the First Communion. Each of the children were asked to write a prayer and Alexa's prayer was: "For my cousin's dog, Xena, who passed away from cancer." Well of course, that made Aunt Ree cry! I can't believe how grown up Zac and Alexa are now...it seems like Michelle was pregnant just yesterday. No matter how much they grow or how long the time is between our visits, I hope that they both know, along with Ger and Michelle, that we love them very much and are blessed to have them in our lives. Thanks for having us their to share in this special day. May God bless you always.
