Caden learned The Pledge of Allegiance in preschool this fall. Thought we would share it with you. We can't believe how fast he is growing up. Enjoy!
Welcome to our blog. Please check back for new info about our adventures with Caden and Adelaide every once in a while. We will try to keep this page updated so you can share in all our fun, too.

Let it snow.....Let it snow!
Well we have had some winter here in CT. I am tired of the snow and ready for spring to come now. But I have to admit that all the snow is certainly pretty. Caden loves it, mommy and daddy are tired of clearing it away, and Addie is not really that excited about it most of the time. Needless to say, I have had a lot of snow days off from school so the kids and I have had a ton of quality time together this January. Looks like we may have another big storm this week. Enjoy the pics! Hope you are all keeping warm and not snowed in wherever you may be.
Christmas....a little late in posting!
Happy New Year! Jay and I bought ourselves a new camera for Christmas and have been a little lazy in downloading the pics, but I finally did today! We had a fantastic Christmas in the Mitchell household. We enjoyed having our family here for Christmas Eve. We had a delicious meal with lobster and filet mignon in honor of Grannie Frannie. She has been in and out of the hospital for a while now. At 90 years old, I guess that is what you can expect. But lobster is her absolute favorite so we were sure to serve it since we were so excited to have her home for the holidays. She even slept over and saw Santa come down the chimney that night. Caden was so excited to hear about that in the morning. Hope you enjoy the photos. Another post will follow soon with all of our crazy snowstorm pics. We are having a very exciting winter here in CT.

Happy Birthday to Me!
Most of you know it was my birthday today. I just had to add a post to tell you about my little man, Caden. He is growing so big and I look forward to every morning because he always wakes up early with me. We have breakfast together and I look forward to our alone time. Addie and Daddy are usually still sleeping! Well today, we all woke up together and waiting for me were two cards. But the best part was that Caden actually wrote "Mom" on the one from him and "Marie" on the one from Jay. He also signed his name inside. It feels like just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant with him and now he is in preschool and writing his own name! Crazy how time goes by. In a year, Addie will be carrying on conversations with us, too. So of all the gifts I received for my birthday this year, those cards were the best. Caden also wished me happy birthday numerous times and gave me many birthday hugs. We enjoyed Hibachi for dinner tonight as a family and it was so cute to see Caden try to eat with chopsticks. So it's all about the little moments these days.
I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year filled with many little moments to cherish forever!
